Original Song Title:

"Walking With A Ghost"

Original Performer:

Tegan And Sara

Parody Song Title:

"Burning Up The Toast"

Parody Written by:

Jango

The Lyrics

Sing loudly, preferably to a cat.
No matter which bread you use
No matter which bread you eat
It's better than mine
Better than mine
It's better than mine
Better than mine

I was burning up the toast
I said please! don't be so crisp
I was burning up the toast
I said please! don't be so crisp
Repeat, way too many times, for the perfect morning song. Great with coffee!

Hi Jango. I Don't Know The Original Song (DKTOS), but Googled the lyrics. I'll give you a 534 based on those alone. I had doubts as to whether or not you had parodied the entire song and per submission rules this barely qualifies as a parody at 10 lines of text. Well, by the http ending this appears to be the first submission of this group ( the 0.shtml says it's the first of the 2000s provided the name is spelled correctly ) so congratulations on that. I do like your opening and closing comments though, which to be honest are funnier than the parody itself.

Red Ant! Thanks for noticing this "morning song to a cat ", even tho it was a stupid song about toast! I guess the OS doesn't get played OVER AND OVER where you live. It's even STUPIDER than my parody, and that's the main idea. I can't believe you spent so much time on the research and response. Geez! Thanks!

Hey no problem Jango. Appreciate you looking at "Allah Paula Cheese" as well. When I Googled this it came up as song on a movie soundtrack. Unless this is sung incredibly slow ( or repeated to infinity ) I couldn't see it getting played on the radio much due to being too short. As for my local radio station(s) they are pretty dismal as far as new music as well.

Just out of curiosity I googled "walking with a ghost" and got all kinds of material, including a full length music video. If this still holds your interest, you have a way longer attention span than I do...but if you go to UGO. com (underground online) you will find more than you probably care to know about this song!

Hey nice parody dude... i really like the OS, im a fan of T&S, even though you don't seem to like them alot you made a great parody...at first i was not sure about if it fitter the original pacing... i did play it with my guitar and then i saw it fitted, plus it sounded even funnier. You should make more T&S parodies.

Thanks for taking the time to enjoy! I appreciate the talents of this band but they could have used more variety with the lyrics on this one. With the interesting guitar sound and rhythm, a broader story line could have been achieved. Doncha think? My cat is nodding and saying, move on, please.
