The Lyrics

OS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cavD4kLxwP0
I’ve never been the one to share my home.
That’s not for me, but now that’s all I’ve done,
Because of you.
Now I climb the walls.
My fridge ain’t full. I can’t walk in the nude.
I had you stay for one day, maybe two.
Now I can see
That you won’t leave.
You’ve here for six whole days now!

This is what I scream about:
You’ve become the guest who bugs me now.
But can I kick you out?
Crowded in, and I can’t breathe now,
And I am afraid I’m freaking out.
But can I kick you out?

I guess I’ve learned that sharing is a pain!
Where’s my fav’rite comb? Did you clog up the drain?
I’ve learned to host a guest eternally!
But I’ve learned a guest
Can turn into a leech!

This is what I scream about:
You’ve become the guest who lays about.
But can I kick you out?
Crowded in, and I can’t breathe now.
Must I call the cops to drag you out?
But can I kick you out?

Listen up: you need
To move on.
Listen up: you need
To go home.
Please, go home!

This is why I scream and shout
Telling you the welcome has worn out!
So can I kick you,
I’ll evict you out!

This is what I dream about:
Having my own space to move about.
So can I kick you out?
Crowded in, and I can’t breathe now.
Now I must reclaim my space and house!
So I must kick you out!

(repeat chorus)

This is what I dream about:
Having my own space to move about.
So I must kick you…
I must kick you out!

Something a little more over the top in the humor would have brought this beyond Weird Al's "Do I Creep You Out",

(AmIRight) Well, I personally really enjoyed this one Melanie, and it obviously has a backing track--GREAT OS choice for parody. This one paced beautifully, and while yeah it could be a little more over the top, this song goes so well with this topic, one of my favorite by you to date Melanie, you've just picked up a new fan here!

Funny work, Melanie. I've never heard WAY's version of this OS, but this has got to be close to it. This scans quite well, as have all entries so far this round. The overlayed vocals at the end would be fairly easy to pull off. One note of advice (and a pet peeve of mine) to an otherwise great parody: the words "repeat chorus" should never appear in a parody, unless you intend on cutting out some of TOS in a recording. As a free read, it's not immediately apparent here what is the chorus (though listening to TOS irons that out). Even a copy/paste job is better than "repeat chorus", if for no other reason that it's easier to sing a 100% complete set of lyrics. Still great job here, and like Dave, you have another new fan. =)
