Half-asleep, head on my desk
One eye open, one taking a rest
Daydreaming of a perfect world
If I knew it, I think I woulda' hurled
Teacher looks up, now what does she see?
As her gaze... sets on me.

Then she saw me, snoring like a bull
So she sent me to the principal

And I'm staring down the hallway of a middle school
All the other kids say I'm a stupid fool
No real reason to do the work, why not shirk?
Why do all the teachers have to be so cruel?

Staring at nothing in the study hall,
Completely unmoving, staring at the wall,
Then the teacher gets out of her chair
Looks arround the room
And got quite a scare

Says I should be reading, not wasting class
Next thing I knew, she was busting my ass
