"Christmas Booze"

The Lyrics

Back after a short hiatus, R 'N R bring you the tragic story of a boy, abused by his father, fetching him some booze. If you cringe when the original comes on your work's radio, you'll love this, and if you enjoy the original.....well you might just find something to like in this!
Ya know it was Christmas Eve
Was at a wild party but had to leave
Had to restock our supply of booze
“Get tequila and Kahlua too!”

In the line ahead of me was a
boy not even in his teens
mumbling like little boys do
and in his hand he held
a case of booze

I saw bruises of blue and black
I knew something was out of whack
And when he got up to the front
He revealed his story, sad and blunt

Chorus:
Sir I wanna buy this booze
For my papa please
It’s Christmas Eve and he could use a little wine
Could you hurry sir, papa didn’t give much time
You see, he’s been sober for quite awhile
I know this booze will go the mile
Hoping he gets so F'd up, he won’t be able to beat me tonight

He recounted his tales as he shelled out dough, then the
Cashier said, “you’re too young, you know.”
He searched his pockets for a fake I.D.
Then he turned and looked at me, he said
“Papa has a habit of freaking out, though
Booze puts him right on the couch, tell me dude,
What am I gonna do?
Somehow I gotta buy him this Christmas booze”

So I told him to wait outside
And then I took his place in line
And I’ll never forget the look on his face when he said,
“Tonight’s gonna be so great!”

Sir I wanna buy this booze
For my papa please
It’s Christmas Eve and he could use a little wine
Could you hurry sir, papa didn’t give much time
You see, he’s been sober for quite awhile
I know this booze will go the mile
I’m hoping he gets so F'd up, he won’t be able to beat me tonight

I knew that some day that boy’d pay me back, as I watched him jump around
We’ll toast each other at our favorite bar ‘cause that is what Christmas is all about
