The Lyrics

DKTOS? MIDI here, Lyrics here. This one is dedicated to anyone who spent money on a CD or song download that promptly got deleted due to suck factor.
[58 second intro]

Al... -bum made in haste...
These... downloads a waste...

Songs... will be erased...
I... re-claim disk space...

Recycle bin,
I just used it
Moved to recycle bin,
I just used it
I said recycle bin,
I just used it
Moved to recycle bin,
I just used it

Moved to recycle bin,
Recycle bin, moved to
Recycle bin,
Recycle bin,
Moved to recycle bin,
Recycle bin, moved to
Recycle bin,
Recycle bin, moved to

All these songs are a$$...,
We spit back at you...
Wound up in the trash...
Fanbase it doubts you...

File thirteen
File thirteen
File thirteen they say...
St. Anger is a waste...
Fans are hot I'd say...
We spit back at you...
Whoa-oh-oh-oh...

Songs... will be erased...
(want a refund for my cash)
I... re-claim disk space...
(want a refund for this trash)

Warning (suck alert)
Warning (suck alert)
Warning (suck alert)
Warning (suck alert)

I... am not alone...,
(want a refund for my cash)
My... warning is bold...,
(with an album in the trash)

Recycle bin,
I just used it
Moved to recycle bin,
I just used it
I said recycle bin,
I just used it
Moved to recycle bin,
I just used it

Moved to recycle bin,
Recycle bin, moved to
Recycle bin,
Recycle bin,
Moved to recycle bin,
Recycle bin, moved to
Recycle bin,
Recycle bin, moved to

All these songs are a$$...,
We spit back at you...
Wound up in the trash...,
Fanbase it doubts you...

File thirteen
File thirteen
File thirteen they say..., hey
St. Anger is a waste...
(St. Anger is a waste...)
Fans are hot I'd say...
We spit back at you...
Whoa-oh-oh-oh...

[drum break]
[one note guitar riff comes in, real
grounbreaking stuff James (Kirk?)]

D*mn, I was dumb,
Album's now in the trash...
A waste of time,
The fans won't look the other way...

[as if copy/paste didn't again ruin a
potentially good song, this verse did]

"Wake the sleeping giant,
Wake the beast
Wake the sleeping dog,
No, let him sleep"
Stop the stupid lyrics,
Stop them please
Kill that mangy dog
Put him to sleep

I was dumb,
Album's now in the trash...

All these songs are a$$...,
We spit back at you..., oh...
Wound up in the trash...,
Fanbase it doubts you..., oh

File thirteen
File thirteen
File thirteen they say..., man
St. Anger is a waste...
(St. Anger is a waste...)
Fans are hot I'd say...
We spit back at you...
Whoa-oh-oh-oh...

Limewire hovers, just waiting for frustrating moments like these, Red Ant - 555

I think that when you're done with this series you need to balance your karma with something really positive to and/or about some possitive song that noone can dislike, even if it's really too peppy for its own good, like "Walking on sunshine" by Katrina and the waves, or something like that.

St. Anguish... St. Anguish, St. Anguish, St. Anguish... Where do I start? You've been at it for seven parodies when I post this, but I bet you've finished the whole lot of them already. No vote, because I'm not familiar with the album. (St. Anger and Frantic didn't appeal to me, and your parodies aren't exactly good advertisement for the album, which, of course, you intended) The thing is, you seem to be repeating yourself. Especially the 'dwindling fan-base' line recurs, but the core of each parody is the same. This not your best work. I'm not questioning your pacing, but I am questioning your use of humor in 'St. Anguish.' If you're truly disappointed in the quality of 'St. Anger,' why not try to surpass that album? The way it looks now, and I'm trying not to put it bluntly and I'm sure a lot of readers will DISagree with me, you might as well have played 'St. Anger' in the background and recorded yourself reviewing the album. You've taught me a lot, Red Ant, and you've made me smile and laugh (your Viagra-parody was super) but I suggest you use the three remaining songs on the album (I'm betting you've sent up the eighth already) to do something more creative. Your two cents back.

Red Ant...this one made more sense to me than some of the others, except that I don't know what you mean by 'suck factor'. The midi didn't make sense to me since I'm not a fan, but I clicked on the album to the right and got a very good sample. Good one. 5's

Thanks AFW, Stu, Peter and YAD.

Peter, I will be moving on to more positive things soon; I have two in the works for Halloween.

Yet Another Dutchman; I've been doing these one at a time and haven't even started "Sweet Amber" yet (track #8). And yes, I am repeating myself quite a bit on theme for it is a theme based album. I will also grant you that these are not my best works by any stretch, but I haven't had exactly good OSs to work with either. These are also not my opinions in entirely, some of this was taken from the 4000 1-star reviews from amazon.com of "St. Anger", which I believe is a record for low marks on any product review.

As for your suggestion for the rest of the CD, I will be doing a different theme for "Sweet Amber", it is the first really good song on this CD; to diss it in the fashion I have done the previous 7 will not happen. No promises on the rest though.

Thanks Pat, "suck factor" is just a term for a really bad song, one that isn't even worthy of taking up hard drive space. This song happens to be one that is okay and if I did have this on my hard drive instead of a CD I wouldn't delete it, but it wouldn't get played much if at all either.
Agrimorfee - October 21, 2005 - Report this comment
This was kind of the problem I had with the Flabby Road parodies someone did a month or so (sorry I forgot your name, friend). It's hard to make a theme go through an album consistently funny. (NB: i havne't bothered to read your St. Anger album parodies yet, all DKTOS but Y.A.D.'s complaint puts that on top of my list of things to do on the 'net :))
Red Ant - October 21, 2005 - Report this comment
Thanks Agrimorfee, it was Dominic L who did them. Agreed, it is hard to make a theme consistent and funny all the way through an album; and because "Sweet Amber" doesn't suck I can't trash it; I will give Metallica props on that one and "The Unamed Feeling". There will also be a surprise revealed on the completed album, so stay tuned. ;-)

Sorry for my mean comment, I was in a mood. I didn't mean to bark at you. I'm going to get my hands on 'St. Anger' to get acquainted with the album, and then I'll get back to this. I owe ya.
Yet Another Dutchman - November 01, 2005 - Report this comment
Whoa, this was great. Especially because the tone of TOS was angry/bored, this makes a fine sing-along. 'Recycle bin, I just used it.' Harsh, but justified. The sleeping dog verse is not only lyrically lacking, but the singing was way too hoarse and toneless to inspire anybody. High-fives.

Thanks Yet Another Dutchman (twice). No insult was taken and I see you have kept your word reviewing these which is much appreciated.

It's not much of a review, it's more like read, kickback and laugh... Sorry for the big contrast in the comments I've been sending.
