Original Song Title:

"Personal Jesus"

 (MP3)
Original Performer:

Marilyn Manson

Parody Song Title:

"Personal Pizza"

Parody Written by:

To A Lesser Extent

The Lyrics

Eat out at our place

Your own personal pizza
One with toppings you like
One that you'll bite
Your own personal pizza
Meat lover's , veggie too
Something for you

Food's all old,
And you're skin and bones
Make a trip
To your telephone
Dial up our number,
We'll satisfy your hunger

Our pizza's the best,
Put us to the test
Try us, be our guest,
But our stuff's the best
We will deliver
Just tell us where you live or...

Come down to our place

Your own personal pizza
Whatever kind you please
Want extra cheese?
Your own personal pizza
Buy some breadsticks and coke
Buy till you're broke

Come down to our place

Food's all old,
And you're skin and bones
Make a trip
To your telephone
Dial up our number,
We'll satisfy your hunger
We will deliver
Just tell us where you live or...

Come down to our place
Come down to our place
Come down to our place
Come down to our place
I think i put the wrong number of lines at the end...oh well.

I'm thinking the same thing. Has MM covered this DP original? He did cover Soft Cell's "Tainted Love" and did an excellent job though.

Excellent job! I had tried to write a similar song, but I was stuck on the refrain. I made up for it - I channeled my love for pizza into "Give Pizza a Chance". 5-5-5

You Morons ! This isn`t even a Marilyn Manson song , it`s a cover !!!!!!
Attention MM! - March 18, 2007 - Report this comment
Covers can be parodied. The song is a cover, but it is significantly different than the original in the manner it was performed. Marilyn Manson would not likely use the word moron as his IQ level is of a degree that far exceed stooping to that level. The whole anti-God and satan thing he does is in fact an act, something that he has admitted outside of the music world. The thing about it is, saying that a cover can not be parodied is like saying they are identical pieces of art to begin with, which if you've ever taken the time to listen to a Marilyn Manson cover, of which he's done several, you'd know that they are significantly different. I would think these lyrics would sound much more amuzing being sung and performed in the manner in which Manson did than Depeche Mode.
