Wait, I'm confused here. Prosecutor and D.A.(District Attorney) - aren't they BOTH working the same side - to convict the defendant? OH-I think I see now,your "D.A." stands for "Defense Attorney". Most of the time I've heard "D.A." used it referred to the prosecutor's role, but I suppose in some areas that is the common or usual way to refer to the defendant's legal rep. Piece makes sense under that definition. Hmmm...maybe it's too early in the morning for my cognitive functions. I'll re-read this later while playing the OS.

There's a slight gulf between your cultural markers and TCOP's, Paul. It's sometimes referred to as ... "The Pacific Ocean". The Parody Conqueror is from Australia. I'll bet that is the source of the misunderstanding

I think it's more likely that the source is me (me being TCOP...I use a different name while commenting, long story) simply not knowing what "district attorney" meant, let alone was another term for the prosecutor. I mean, I knew it was a term, just not what it referred to. Maybe that's what happens when most of my legal knowledge comes from a series of Let's Plays of a visual novel series satirising the Japanese legal system. Thanks for the info, though!

OK, so there was a "cultural gap" here. Makes sense considering the different locales (I'm in Los Angeles, CA). Well, I think this is pretty good work, so I'm "5-ing" it.

Not bad. A little bit repetitive and I would have liked to know what this guy is on trial for and what the lawyer's supposed strong case actually is but otherwise not too shabby.
