The Lyrics

this is better than my last version
you go agian on match.com
she tells you shes a hot blonde
you really fall for everything shell say
you dont know her backgrounds really fake
and as soon as you know you are hooked up

your gullable from your head to your toes
go on a chick wild someone you dont even know
well you wait for her at the big line
you find out shes a draq queen in disguiese
its time to say i told ya so

now you have a bad date
her real bad background
dating a another bozo the clown
you didnt know that she had lied
now you know her and paris dont look alike
you had a bad date
the chat rooms screwed your mind
another bad date since you made out with a mime
you had a bad date
your messin with fate

well you got the bad girl yesterday
your mommy and dad thinks your insane
you sure aint no ladies man

when you look for a date
on yahoo you browse
you get some chick with a big unibrow

your date really blows its been on your mind
let me tell you the girl aint the best piece of pie
you get a bad date
no cameron diaz
shes really dumb and she has lots of spaz
you have a bad date
didnt get your soulmate

you date some cousins and try to score agian and agian
now this next girl dont look like no sarah silverman
its bad agian its bad agian

well shes has no fashion when she needs it the most
this dates fried
shes not to mean but her actions dont work

stop havin bad dates
another ones out
on yahoo its a girl but its really james brown

you really dont know you really dont bond
you have a girl dressed like elton john
you have a bad date

shes real sluty
she only appeals
to ron jeremy
never had a cool date
oh give me a brake

Hmmmmm....this is not even in the same league as "The Bad Life Song"; the difference being I think you actually wrote this one. Pacing, layout, spelling, humour are all below-par. 333
white trash - October 16, 2007 - Report this comment
your just jealous kristof my song deserves more than 333s nothin nice to say dont say anything at all heard of the term
Kristof Robertson - October 17, 2007 - Report this comment
Yeah, that's right, White Trash...I'm GREEN with envy...I'd trade my Parody Author of The Year medal to write a parody this good (yeah, I know it's a cheap shot, but he started it...)

Yes I've heard that "term"...have you heard these two?

"If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen"

"Cheats never prosper"

Your song DOESN'T deserve more than 333 IMHO, and I don't believe I was unduly harsh in my criticism. If you spent more time working on your craft, and less time stealing others parodies and claiming you wrote them, then you'd get better feedback.

I'm done....

Wow, White Trash. Wow.

I think Kristof was being WAY generous with a 3 for pacing. You really should thank him for it. As one of the few people who didn't ever get sick of the OS...(Oh how I love Daniel Powter)...this was almost painfully to review. Seriously. Have you actually heard the song? Just wondering. I gave it a 1 for pacing. Potentially could have been funny, but bad pacing takes the funny out, in my opinion.

As for Kristof being jealous, that's just laughable. Having played around this site with him for...how many years now?...I can say that he's more generous with positive feedback than almost anyone out there, and couldn't be vindictive if he tried.

Nice try though, I'm sure you have everyone else...(not everyone can be as smart as me)... fooled that HE'S the jerk here. Well played.
Arwen - October 17, 2007 - Report this comment
Whoops...that should say "painful to review." Sometimes I'm really stupid. Sorry about that.

And one last thing: "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" isn't a "term." Just so you know. It's a "phrase"...a "saying"...a "bit of advice," perhaps. It's also a load of crap, if you're looking for honest feedback...here or anywhere else.

In the real world, it's nice to know that sometimes people tell the truth...and if you don't like hearing it...then you should probably invest in some good earplugs.
Red Ant - October 17, 2007 - Report this comment
I thought the layout was decent, and the potential for humor was here despite the fact "bad date" has been used about a dozen times now for this song. The spelling and grammar errors are atrocious even to me: I imagine Arwen probably needed a Tylenol or three after reading this. Please, use spellcheck from now on. 242.

um...Apostrophe, Full Stop, Capital Letter and I have been feeling a little sad lately, so we drew straws, and I drew the short one, so here goes....

*clears throat* white trash, how come you don't come visit us any more, mate?
Colon answers... - October 18, 2007 - Report this comment
because gramma is dead, Comma. MySpace and IM killed her. period. Those rotten s.o.b.s killed gramma. May God have mercy on her unpunctuated soul. Her tombstone reads "Grammar: Born in antiquity - dide oktobur seventeenth too thowsan n sevin". It's too painful for some of us to visit gramma anymore. Please be a little more sympathetic, will ya? ;)

I'm only half the arse that Colon is and I live in the REAL world (perhaps you've seen me on MTV. . .). Proper grammar is SO passé: everyone knows that as long as you can text message and type in L337 you'lll be set for life. Pull your head out of your asspostrophe.
Comma - October 18, 2007 - Report this comment
really? I thought it all went pear-shaped the day that Johnny Rotten got turned down for that waitering job at his local cafe

because since then, I've never known a punk to wait
Arwen - October 18, 2007 - Report this comment
Yep...laughing even harder.
McKludge - October 18, 2007 - Report this comment
I don't know about anyone else, but I get a little worried when someone's colon starts speaking.

and you had a bad date well kristoff id read it agian cause when i went through it didnt find no pacing i was using slang but i have no spelling errors looks like its ok to me and if you didnt understand the song its because its about a guy in chat rooms and dating sites you didnt understand that or you just didnt pay attention to the song and just gave me ones
Kristof Robertson - October 19, 2007 - Report this comment
I feel that you want a reply from me White Trash, so I'll give you one and then consider the matter closed.

You forgot to mention that your plagiarised parody was Steve Goodie's, and just wanted to share it with us, huh? Then why did you change the title? You were caught out, so at least be honest now....

Pacing: Did you sing your parody along to the original song, white trash? Because if you could, you must have a very different version of "Bad Day" to the one I know. Some lines were too short, some were far too long, and to my mind that means the pacing is poor.

No spelling errors? Read on:
agian should be again
gullable should be gullible
your should be you're
disguiese should be disguise
sluty should be slutty
brake should be break

I understood the song fine, white trash...I just didn't think it was very funny. I'm as entitled to my opinion as you are to disagree with it. But, hey: I wouldn't know "createvity" if it hit me in the face.....

And, if you pay attention, you'll see that I gave you 333, not ones...so I saw some merit in your parody. If you objected to "below par" then I'm sorry, but you could get alot worse from other commentors. If your ego can't deal with criticism, then maybe you should try another hobby...

As I said before, I'm done

Oh, and a message to the punctuation brothers: keep it down, guys...you're scaring my hyphen! ;-)
white trash - October 20, 2007 - Report this comment
