My dad really enjoys gardening to me it always seemed like too much work for not enough enjoyment since it only grew vegetables and I never liked vegetables. Still this plant parody was perfect!

Having done a parody to this song before, I know that some of the song structure is tough to get around. And you got around it great. Especially liked how you handled the end and tied up things nicely.

Andria - I also love gardening as much as you do even though it may be strenuous during hot weather for me. The best part is that me and my dad would work together as he teaches me valuable lessons on having a green thumb. Well, anyways, this is kind of an easy song, but the hardest part is that when it comes to writing parodies, it takes a lot of hard work, such as brainstorming, research, humor, rhyming, and pacing. (Artistry) It's funny when people admit they wrote things in a hurry, because usually (for me at least) it's quite clear. This was cute, but not especially hilarious.

(Artistry) Cute idea, pretty good execution. Some of the lines were a bit clunky (I wish there was another word for 'clunky'), and it wasn't especially hilarious, but still pretty good, and worthy of a 555.

Other words: unattractive, lack of grace and expression, lack of focus, insipid, etc. Yeah, I got to admit, this isn't necessarily one of my best parodies. But all in all, I'm glad you enjoyed nonetheless :).

This parody was alright CCM, you've had a number of great ones lately, and this one was more in the eh range. . .I don't know if I'd say this is insipid or lacks focus, or even clunky, it just was either rushed or the interest in writing wasn't there, but it wasn't a horrible parody which by reading your comment you'd think it was--don't short change yourself.

Dave - The things in this satire you mentioned being rushed and lack of interest in writing is kinda true. I was also helping bobpie come up other words for 'clunky'. I'm not actually trying to short change myself in any way. I thank you for your support and v/c. Glad you enjoyed my parody.

Very good job with short lines. I commend your father. I have one food-bearing plant, and avocado tree, and I love the guacamole that comes from it, but gardening is not my favorite hobby.

Reading this again, even more enjoyable than the first time. My tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash and corn are all nearing ripeness, the basil and chives are thriving, some of the flowers but not all are done blooming, and the radishes, carrots and other root crops are not yet ready to pick. Unfortunately, I won't be eligible for any of the garden clubs around here for another 25 years- they're all 55+.

John - Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for commending my father and your plants are very interesting. I also understand that not everyone likes gardening. It's a tough and rigorous job, especially in hot weather.

Andria - Very interesting vegetables in your garden. I wished we had our own basil and chives in our garden but our dogs kept on marking their territory on them unfortunately. Well, maybe next year. And speaking of garden clubs, I kept on talking my dad into joining a garden club, but chose not to. He's missing out on a great opportunity and will never get a chance to show off his green thumb. We harvested our tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, and bittermelons last weekend. But my tomatoes are overripe already. I also wished I had potatoes, mushrooms, and carrots as well.
