in avril's song, she uses the term 'mobile' for the thing that hangs from the ceiling and spins around... so it's just a play on words, since here in canada, some refer to a phone as a mobile too.

Sarah, pretty clever job. I couldn't make the pace match up quite flush but it was not a bad job. The 'mobile' term has been used here in California to reference the spinning ceiling hanger also for many moons (at least in the circles I've spun in). And that's the way I read the original song also (which actually makes it fairly clever work on either Avril's part or "The Matrix" bunch or perhaps a combination thereof).
