...except that she really has a fantastic voice. I saw a concert DVD from 2002 or 2003 and it was NOT faked and she was really very good. A little young for my old a**, but she's actually quite a talented vocalist and my gut feeling is that she wrote more than 1/2 the material I saw her sing. NOW...on to YOUR piece. From what I read YOUR pacing is awful and there's no way to make the cadence match the OS syllable structure, so what MIGHT have been a clever idea - using a performer's own piece to trash them - falls on it's rear end when you make your lyrics unsingable with the Original piece. That is the point here, after all. There is an important issue to consider when you are criticizing the work of others, and that is to make YOUR work strong enough so that you have some actual credibility as a CRITIC. So I'm not voting here.

Paul, you're too kind and Avril is not too young for you.

As for the parody, thelastaurora, the title sub was good, but this lacks anything resembling rhyming, and the meter is way way off. You somehow managed to make this more repetitive than the original, too. Good idea but the execution of it left much to be desired. Better luck next time. 222.

i heard her live sk8er boi, and she sounds very hoarse and like she got a sore throat. the only decent live songs she sang were you were mine and kiss me which was before she got famous. otherwise her live songs sound worse than her recorded ones. her lyrics are quite lame in girlfriend, and too much to ask. it is also very simple, not like metaphorical nightwish. anyway, thanks for your opinions
