The Lyrics

It seems quite a few Americans (including our President) are not troubled by the false pretenses under which the Iraq war was undertaken and continues to be conducted. And the lies continue and are treated as fact in developing military and political strategies. No one seems to give much thought to the concept that actions taken based on incorrect information rarely work out in the desired manner, and when they do it is generally only by accident. If you haven't given this concept much thought yet, well, I suggest that you try to...I hope things DO work out well...the carnage and loss of life happening over in Iraq now angers and sickens me...but I have serious doubts that this will occur. Peace...
(No-oh, oh, no)
(In Iraq; no happy ending)
(No-oh, oh, no)
(Bush's lies; they're unrelenting)
(No-oh, oh-oh, oh, no)

Let's think this over
and let's use our heads
Now we're stuck in Iraq
Over twelve-hundred dead

Looks like a quagmire
Into which we've been led
All of your lies
All the false rumors you spread
(BS you spread)

It seems none of what you said was true
Your aim was to deceive

It seems everything that you said was just bullsh*t
(It was bullsh*t)
It seems you are not mature enough to admit this
(you resist)
That the things you said to get us in this war weren't true
All this time you were dissembling
In Iraq; no happy ending
(No-oh, oh, no)
Mister Bush, no happy ending
(No-oh, oh, no)

You've got those neo-cons
We know what they said
(sh*t they said)
They told you "it's winnable"
They are so full of sh*t
(to our regret)
They sure don't know much
No, not much that is true
(a sick crew)
All the lies you told to us
It was bullsh*t; you knew
(we got screwed)

You took us to war without a clue
of just what that would mean

It seems everything you claimed was invented
(invented)
Not one WMD could be seen when we got there
(were not there)
All of the things you said to justify this war weren't true
Seems your lies are never-ending
Civil war seems to be pending

It's nice to know you talk to God
Although I find it rather odd
That the Lord would give you so much poor advice
Does He really endorse war?
Is that what we were put here for?
Or is that just another lie?

It seems everything that you said was deceptive
There will not be peace, won't be peace - during your term
All of the evidence you gave to start this war lacked proof
All the lives and cash we're spending
Will not bring a happy ending

So you lied to us to get this war that you wanted
(we're haunted)
You will not reveal; you still conceal - what the cost is
All of the men we lose and blood we bleed does not faze you
Fences that you could be mending
Knocked down by this war you're vending
(No-oh, it's gross)
Makes me sad; it is heart-rending
(It's so damn gross)
In Iraq; no happy ending
(No-oh, you know it's so, you know)

Pacing was a bit off, 455, but I'm glad to see other people have realized how bad our president is.

Victor - Thank you, I appreciate the support. And while I wouldn't normally mention anything on a "4-5-5-" score, I'm wondering where you ran into problems with the pacing or cadence - I paced this very carefully and sang along with Lavigne's track and I don't see where you find the pacing off. I went over the song perhaps 15 or 20 times before I was satisfied with the pacing/cadence. If you see this could you point out where you ran into a problem? Not really complaining, just curious...Thanks again...

Of course, in the lefty lexicon, "actions taken based on incorrect information" = "lies" Also: difference of opinion = lie, different interpretation of events = lie, decision made on a controversial matter = lie, anything that contradicts a leftist doctrine = lie, honest mistake = lie, unpopular truth = lie, anything that might make a hated Republican (such as Bush) out to be kind, intelligent, a good leader, or doing a good job = lie. By the way, Mr. Robinson, the count of Americans who voted for the "liar" is now up over 60,000,000. I guess that's kind of hard to fathom when you're here in your echo chamber, isn't it?

Righty - Let's see - "actions based on incorrect information" are not NECESSARILY lies - but whether they are or not can you see that basing your actions upon them while excluding all other possibilities is not a very wise course? As to whether Mr. Bush has been lying to the American I guess that's up to each person to decide for themselves. I believe he has been doing so on a consistent basis, you do not. As to what 60 million other people think or do...well, they think and do as they wish...their numerical total has nothing to do with whether their opinion of Mr. Bush and his actions is correct or mistaken...I suppose in hindsight we may know whether this was wise or not...personally, I do not believe it was...Thanks for stopping by and sharing your opinion...

Bush is a (bleep), he started the Iraq war, let bin Laden do 9/11 and started a crusade for censorship
