Fisherman

He was a man,
She was a fish,
Can I make it any more odorous?
He thought she stunk,
Till she'd be a fillet,
What more can I say?

He used to walk,
She used to swim mostly away from him,
And all of his friends,
Would lend him their pails,
That's where he put all those icky fish scales.

He was a fisherman,
He didn't like the land,

She would swim through the weeds,
Where she liked to bottom-feed
Until the tide pulled her away

5 years from now
She swims by the shore
Feeding the minnows she's having some more
But on fishing TV
Shot by the coast
Its Bass-Masters with Fisherman acting as host
She signals her friends
They already know
And they've already hoping
To be on his show
She swims along
With the fish in her school
Looks at the fisherman spinning his spool

He was a fisherman
She didn't give a damn

Now he's a fishing star
Casting his line out far
